BMW M3 Competition 2021

Time to deny the fake rumours. The new #m3 and #m4 have both been the internet's hot topic already before their official launch. The conservative #bmw fanboys were ready to banish the M-World just because of the new grill design. It's much different to what we were all used to, but it was the case of time to accept the new grill and focus on the priorities. Besides the grill, there was also some bullshit thrown on the car by people who seem to have not even driven the car, so I want to clarify these things. Firstly, the bucket seats. They are by far the best ones that I've ever sat in, but many people dislike the carbon piece between the legs. They moan that it's uncomortable when you brake with your left foot. Well, I only brake with the left foot as you do in motorsports, and it wasn't even close to interrupting me. The piece is finished with soft leather and has no impact on the driver. The #carbon seats have one more advantage. They are very slim, making the legroom of the back row quite spacious. The other complaint concerns the mass of the #m3competition, and here we come to the driving. The car weighs 1700kg, 150kg more than its predecessor, which made people wonder how it would affect the stability and #handling. However, at no point did I feel that the car was too heavy. It was controllable and every slide was smooth and predictable - it felt like a racecar. This was the first car with ceramic brakes that I've driven, and they make a serious difference. The 3.0L inline 6 outputs 510HP and 650NM of torque which makes it launch like a rocket from the corners, even with a little slide. The traction control works perfectly when you want to find grip, and when turned off, the car still listens to the #driver very well. The steering system cooperates with the sliding rear very directly, so just a small movement on the steering wheel is needed to counter the drift. A feeling very similar to a racecar. As a @popsandbangs member, I should also mention the sound. Of course, in the OPF era, there is some sound redirected to the cabin through the speakers, but it doesn't affect the overall experience. M3 is my definition of a car! Ⓜ
